Sukanya Wignaraja

Sukanya Wignaraja, M. Sc. (Oxon) received her Masters in Social Work from Oxford University (UK) and practiced as a psychiatric social worker in the UK for over 15 years in a variety of clinical settings from community to hospitals and prisons. She was part of a specialist mental health team that set up mental health services in a women’s prison in London (HMP Holloway) and also served as Social Work Advisor to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office with particular responsibility for mental health issues.  

Sukanya is also a Certified Solution Focused Therapist, recognized by the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC). She has been a counselor and trainer for In Touch Community Services since 2007 and sees clients from both expatriate and Filipino communities. Sukanya works with individuals and couples and specializes in relationship issues, grief and loss, depression, work-related stress and HIV/AIDS.
