Aurelia received her undergraduates (Bachelors of Arts) in Psychology from the College of New Jersey in the U.S. She completed her Masters degree (MA) in Community Counseling also from The College of New Jersey. She has since completed training and certifications as an Acupuncture and Detoxification Specialist (ADS), for Basic and Advanced EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) for in-person work with trauma, and Moral Reconation Therapy for work with those having Antisocial Personality Disorder. She is currently Colorado State approved for work with Adult male sex offenders. She most recently obtained her 2nd license as an Addictions Counselor.
Aurelia N. Erivynn is both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) who in addition to working with depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, adjustment disorders, and sex offense issues, specializes in Co-occurring addiction with mental health disorders.
Her counseling style is open, warm, non-judgmental and one of empowerment. She treats those with whom she interacts with respect, compassion, and a sensitivity to meet each person where they are. Her counseling approach incorporates humanistic and cognitive behavioral with use of motivational interviewing. She attempts to fit her communication style with her client’s to meet each person’s unique needs.
