Ms. Jessica C. Espanto is a licensed professional teacher and a registered psychologist of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Ms. Espanto has training and experience in both special education and clinical psychology. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of the Philippines. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University. She received her certification in the administration of Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2) in the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore. She obtained a copyright for the Relationship-based Social Cognitive Intervention (RBSCI) from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.
Ms. Espanto has seven years of clinical experience, specializing in the assessment and intervention of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders as well as child and adolescent mental health. During her seven years of psychological practice, Ms. Espanto was the Program Coordinator of the Social Thinking Workshop in MedMom Child Development Clinic, the Project Director of the Social Smarts Program in the Ateneo Bulatao Center for Psychological Services and one of the Clinical Psychologists in Gray Matters Psychological Center.
Currently, Ms. Espanto is a consultant psychologist at In Touch Community Services, Inc. She is also a Clinical Psychologist in MedGrocer, an online pharmacy and corporate healthcare solutions provider. She is likewise a reviewer in Hello Doctor Philippines, which is part of a digital health media network in Southeast Asia called Hello Health Group. Likewise, Ms. Espanto is an active member of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP). Her research interests are interventions for persons with disability, autism intervention, psychological assessment, social skills training as well as innovative therapeutic techniques and research methodologies.
