Josie is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist (CSFT) recognized by the Canadian Council for Professional Certification (CCPC); a Qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner; a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Guidance Counselor in the Philippines; and a Certified Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Facilitator by The Center for Mindfulness Studies. She was also trained for a year at Family Therapy Training Center of the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia under the Fulbright-Hays Scholarship.
She was a lecturer at John Gokongwei School of Management (ADMU) on Organizational Behavior for 5 years; and currently facilitates Personal Mastery and Bridging Leadership modules under Municipal Health Leadership and Governance Program (MLGP) and Doctors to the Barrios (DTTB) Program of Development Academy of the Philippines. She worked as Employee Care Counselor at Sycip Gorres Velayo (SGV) & Co. and as Work Life Consultant at Reyes Tacandong & Co.(RTCo).
She has 30 years of counseling (10 years coaching) experience that started from Dial-A-Friend and, Center for Family Ministries (CEFAM), auditing firms, including her current stint as psychologist and training consultant on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) engagements at In Touch Community Services. She is also a volunteer MBCT facilitator at University of the Philippines under the Friendly Care Foundation initiative.
