Mara Yusingco is a licensed psychologist working in individual and group psychotherapy, research, training, and education. She is trained to handle cases of anxiety, depression, stress-related concerns, trauma, abuse, and other mental health-related issues. She has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Ateneo De Manila University and is a board top-notcher (placing 10th) in the 2018 Psychologist Licensure Examination.
Mara is currently a faculty member of the Ateneo De Manila University Psychology Department where she teaches research methods classes, General Psychology, and Understanding the Self. Her current research engagements include studies that look into parental interventions for child maltreatment, disaster leadership, community psychology, and the effects of punitive drug policies on orphaned youths. Outside her work with InTouch Community Services and Ateneo De Manila University, she also actively engages in volunteer initiatives with communities, working with practitioners from diverse backgrounds.
