Mary Ellen was born in the United States and has been living in the Philippines for more than 30 Years. After obtaining, her MPH degree, Mary Ellen was involved in programs related to HIV/AIDS, developing a manual for CISD (Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) and working on a research program that evaluated the effectiveness of community-based educators.
She has worked as a Guidance Counselor in an International School in Manila and as a counselor at In Touch from 1990 until 2000. After moving back to the U.S. in 2002, Mary Ellen worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a private clinic, in City schools in Washington, DC and in Nursing Homes in New York City.
