Dr. Susana “Sue” A. Estanislao is both a Registered Guidance Counselor and a Registered Psychologist. She has been in the counseling profession for almost three decades now helping children, adolescents, and adults deal with life challenges and mental health conditions.
She has a vast experience of nearly 30 years in the field of mental health as a practitioner, helping children, teens, young professionals, and adults deal with their life challenges and adjustments. During her 40 years of employment at the De La Salle University, she served as a Counselor, Administrator, Counselor Supervisor, Researcher, Evaluation and Testing Coordinator, Consultant, and a Teaching Faculty.
She is currently connected with In Touch Community Services, Inc. Makati, as a Consultant Counseling Psychologist, and with San Pablo Colleges, Laguna and St. Scholastica’s College, Manila where she teaches Advanced Psychological Assessment, Counseling Theories, Psychotherapy, Group Counseling, and related subjects. She mentors thesis advisees and reads papers as a panelist. Her published research works focus on Managing Psychological Distress and Depression, Suicide Prevention, Lasallian Spirituality, Resilience, Counseling and Career Development, among others.
In enhancing and safeguarding the practice of Counseling Psychology, she actively engages in various professional trainings highlighting the Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Psychosocial Support Programs, and the like. She also diligently participates in diverse organizations, holding different positions over the years. At the moment, she is a Board member of the Association of Psychological and Educational Counselors of Asia-Pacific. She gives talks and facilitates training workshops here and abroad.
On a personal note, she is a loving wife, a nurturing mom, and a doting grandma.
